Choose healthy seedlings, free from disease, with strong roots. Plant the banana seedlings carefully, ensuring that the roots are spread out evenly and not bent. For sucker seedlings, make sure the base of the stem is level with the soil surface.
Maintenance
Watering: Water the plants regularly, ensuring that the soil is not waterlogged to prevent root rot. Thinning: If any seedlings die or fail to develop, replace them with new ones.
Proper Harvesting Techniques for Quality Yield
Use sharp and clean tools, such as a sickle or long knife, to cut the banana bunch to avoid damaging the plant or fruit. Carefully cut the bunch near the base of the stem. However, the cut should be made at an angle to prevent damage to the stem or fruit.
